Mission Context
The mission consists of defining, designing, and governing a secure, scalable, and user-centric Digital Workplace ecosystem, ensuring alignment between business needs, security requirements, and long-term digital transformation objectives.
The role focuses on architecting and evolving modern workplace capabilities, while ensuring compliance with architectural governance, regulatory standards, and enterprise security requirements.
Beyond solution architecture, the objective is to support innovation, improve end-user experience, and strengthen the Digital Workplace roadmap, enabling secure and future-ready workplace services.
The goal is to enable the organization to enhance productivity, operational resilience, and digital collaboration capabilities within a highly secure and regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Workplace Architecture & Solution Design
- Define and design Digital Workplace infrastructure and application architectures
- Elaborate solutions aligned with security standards, architectural governance, and compliance requirements
- Produce and maintain:
- High-level designs
- Reference architectures
- Detailed architecture documents
- Technical standards and documentation
- Prepare architectural schemes and technical documentation for Digital Workplace services including:
- Endpoints (Windows & iOS)
- Exchange and mail infrastructure
- Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
- Azure and cloud-based workplace solutions
Modern Workplace & Cloud Transformation
- Support and drive initiatives related to:
- Cloud PC / Windows 365
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Modern Workplace transformation
- Microsoft Copilot adoption
- App Control for Business:
- Contribute to the evolution of the Digital Workplace roadmap aligned with a cloud-first strategy
- Ensure scalability, performance, and sustainability of workplace solutions
Security, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure alignment with:
- Organizational security policies
- Regulatory and compliance requirements
- Architectural governance standards
- Integrate modern security principles such as:
- Zero Trust
- Endpoint security
- Passwordless authentication
- Conditional Access Policies
- Support regulatory and organizational compliance initiatives, including DAS requirements and security governance
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with:
- Engineering teams
- Operations teams
- Security teams
- Architects
- Vendor partners:
- Provide guidance and support on implementation activities and technical decisions
- Facilitate architectural workshops and technical discussions
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable guidance
Automation, Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to automation and operational efficiency through:
- PowerShell scripting
- Infrastructure as Code concepts
- Configuration automation and reporting
- Support Digital Experience Monitoring (DEX) initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the Digital Workplace roadmap
Required profile.
Required Expertise – Digital Workplace Architect
- Digital Workplace architecture and governance (Expert, current experience)
- Modern Workplace and M365 ecosystem design (Expert, current experience)
- Cloud-based workplace solutions and Azure technologies (Advanced, current experience)
- Security architecture and Zero Trust principles (Advanced, current experience)
- Technical documentation and architectural standards (Advanced, current experience)
- Cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership (Advanced, current experience)
Required Knowledge & Experience
Experience
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure projects within Digital Workplace environments
- Experience working in high-security and regulated environments (e.g., finance sector)
- Strong experience collaborating with business, architecture, and security teams
Technical Expertise
Mandatory
- Extensive expertise in Microsoft 365 technologies including:
- Exchange Online
- SharePoint Online
- OneDriv
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Copilot
- Strong knowledge of Azure ecosystem components, including:
- Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Windows 365 (W365)
- Intune
- Conditional Access Policies:
- Experience with technical and architectural documentation writing
- Knowledge of:
- Endpoint security
- Zero Trust architectures
- Passwordless authentication
- Networking basics (VLAN, NAC, VPN, zoning, endpoints):
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts and Digital Experience Monitoring (DEX)
Business Knowledge

Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience)
Languages
- English – Professional working proficiency
- French and/or Dutch depending on operational environment
Location & Working Model
- Based in Belgium:
- Minimum 50% on-site presence required
- Up to 50% remote work possible after onboarding and familiarization period
