Developer
Mission.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the group life back-end application running on the mainframe.
- Deliver projects within agreed timelines.
- Monitor and follow up on daily incidents (low volume).
- Contribute to technical and functional documentation through code analysis and application behavior review.
- Implement simple, structured, and efficient solutions.
Required profile.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in IT development or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT solutions within life insurance.
- Excellent command of French or Dutch, with good knowledge of the other national language, and comfortable working in English.
- Strong knowledge of COBOL / DB2; experience with mainframe environments and/or group life insurance is an asset.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Rigorous, organized, able to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Able to learn quickly and work at a sustained pace in a dynamic environment.
- Analytical mindset, solution-oriented, and results-driven.
- Able to communicate with all types of stakeholders and present results clearly to senior management.
- Autonomous, proactive, and eager to take on challenges.
- Creative, open-minded, and willing to think outside the box.
