Mission.
Our client is seeking a Senior Product Owner to drive the Employee Benefits (EB) Strategy within a complex and evolving insurance environment. This role is pivotal in shaping, prioritizing, and executing digital initiatives that enhance the employee benefits offering.
You will act as the bridge between business, IT, and sales, translating strategic objectives and stakeholder needs into actionable roadmaps and deliverables. Operating in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, you will bring structure, clarity, and momentum to strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and execution of the Employee Benefits strategy, with a strong focus on digitalization and innovation
- Identify and analyze the needs of customers, employees, and distribution partners, translating them into concrete product initiatives
- Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features aligned with strategic goals
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, turning business challenges into actionable solutions
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and IT teams to align on priorities and delivery
- Facilitate discussions across stakeholders to build consensus and define a unified vision, roadmap, and execution plan
- Work with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders using agile methodologies
- Ensure delivery planning and timeline management, proactively aligning expectations and feasibility with stakeholders
- Bring structure to complex environments by consolidating inputs into clear strategies, plans, and deliverables
- Monitor market trends and innovations in digital services and insurance/financial services
Required profile.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in roles such as Product Owner, Project Manager, or similar within financial services or insurance;
- Proven experience in:
- Digital transformation / innovation projects
- Customer journey redesign
- Managing complex, cross-functional initiatives;
- Strong ability to operate in ambiguous or “messy” environments, gathering information from diverse and sometimes challenging stakeholders;
- Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups, notably:
- Sales
- Product
- IT;
- Solid project management and planning capabilities, with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term delivery;
- Experience with Agile frameworks and tools such as Azure DevOps (Azure Boards);

Language Requirements
Trilingual preferred, with mandatory fluency in:
- English
- French and/or Dutch (at least two languages required)
